Long-life Pavement

A joint Caltrans-construction industry-Univeristy of California effort

In 2003, the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans),  the asphalt pavement industry and the University of California Pavement Research Center (UCPRC) launched a collaborative effort to test long-life pavement strategies on a rehabilitation project on the 710 Freeway in Southern California, and so far the project is performing as expected. Caltrans and industry are working together with the goal of developing a second long-life pavement project in Northern California. This webpage has been established to assemble pertinent information related to the effort.
